Maribel was born in Virginia and was raised by her parents and siblings, though information about them is scarce. In her early years Maribel was interested in becoming the next lawyer, and she aimed to pursue a career within the legal field. After graduating from high school and matriculating in the University of Virginia where she pursued a diploma in foreign Policy along with a minor German. It's one of the most prestigious universities, and has a history dating all the way to 1819 when Thomas Jefferson founded it. Jefferson was one of the Declaration of Independence authors.
