Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she is the only person to be given 10/10 points in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci when she was just six years old. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She took the title in 1970. In her 1972 first international competition in a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975 she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. When she made her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. She became the first female to do a reverse double salo with the parallel bar that was uneven in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business performing as figure skater. Together with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business as a teenager. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
